What Happened
An eighteen-year-old pregnant mother, seriously injured in the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) aerial bombing on civilian settlements in Tharmapuram on 25 November 2007, succumbed to her injuries Monday night in Ki�linochchi district hospital, sources in Ki�linochchi said. The deceased girl, Kamalraj Thanayogam, 18, had lost one leg at the hip, and had injuries on her chest, stomach, and left hand. Thanayogam was married only four months ago, and her husband Kamalraj, 28, was seriously injured along with his wife in the SLAF bombing on their house and other adjoining houses. Thanayogam was pregnant at the time of injury, hospital sources said. Thanayogam�s sister in Ki�linochchi district hospital.
