What Happened

On 13.11.1993, Sri Lankan Air Force bombed Kurunagar church in Jaffna where civilians had taken refuge. 10 Tamil civilians were killed and 25 were injured. The church was sheltering displaced families who believed they would be safe in a place of worship. The bombing of the church was condemned as a war crime.
